Well, thanks for asking. My name is Benita and I help Nigerian Women grow the hair of their dreams. Literally!

Growing up, I genuinely believed that a fully Nigerian woman couldn't have long and thick hair going down her back. 

Just like most of you reading this, I too felt like luscious real hair was not an option for me and I simply decided that I would have the best weaves and wig ever. This was genuinely what I thought. 

Then 1 day, it all changed!

It was May of 2014, I was surfing the web like every regular teenager and then I suddenly stumbled into the world of natural hair. This was just when natural hair started to gain popularity and black girls started to realize that maybe some of us could grow long hair. It was mostly Americana girls I was seeing and I was impressed nonetheless, but I wasn't really sold. Not until I met Lade. 

Lade is a lady I have never met, but I have so much love for her, and that is because she was the first person who showed me, that NIGERIAN GIRLS CAN GROW LONG HAIR. 

And since May 2014, I have been on a hair growth journey. I was still relaxed at this point, and then in January 2015, I went NATURAL. 

The first 2 years were great, but it was downhill from there.

Let's just say, that natural hair is no joke. 

After 8 years of being natural, I was officially DONE!

The 8 hours you use to wash and detangle your hair, the pain you have to always endure in the salon, the chunks of hair that you lose every wash day, the breakage, and oh, let's not forget the SHRINKAGE! The "disrespectful" shrinkage

It was all too much for me. So much so that in 2020 during lockdown, I almost got a relaxer!

A relaxer! Everyone who has ever gotten a relaxer knows that it causes so much breakage, shedding, damage, and your hair never gets longer. I just didn't dare to risk it. 

But, I was still over natural hair and I was ready for a change.  I just wore wigs and protective styes back to back but deep down inside, I wanted to wear my OWN hair out.

Then I wondered, What about a texture release? It looked nice, it seemed less damaging, and I really considered it, the only problem is that it was temporary and it doesn't give the best results on type 4 hair.

I wanted something luscious, sexy, bouncy, and permanent. I didn't want to put my hair through a hair treatment just for it to revert to natural after the first wash.

It just wasn't enough for me, so I had to find something else.

This technique is superior to all others because of the technology used to straighten the hair. 

This technique uses a special solution and a unique process to rearrange your hair bonds instead of breaking and dissolving them.

For example, say you have type 4 hair and you get this treatment, the first phase takes you from type 4c to type 3b or 3c.

The second phase of the treatment takes your hair from type 3b/c to type 2 0r 1.

Well, why not just stop at phase 1 if you still like the curls? 

Short answer: Hair needs memory. The hair bonds need to be reminded where to stay, so even if your goal is to have loose curls, you will still need to reinforce the new structure you want the hair to take.

This is a 2-phase treatment that involves doing the same process 2 times with a 15 - 30 day interval.

Preparing for the Treatment

Before starting the straightening process, a thorough hair assessment is crucial.

Strand Test: During this stage, a test is conducted on a small piece of hair to gauge your hair's health and ensure that your hair is healthy enough to get this treatment.

This is a necessary precaution to safeguard your hair's integrity and ensure a smoother treatment experience.

The Straightening Process

After successfully conducting the strand test,  we proceed to the straightening process. 

This is not a one-size-fits-all process. 

Each client's hair is different therefore the process can vary slightly. 

The process simply involves using a mild solution to "open" your hair bonds and then using heat to realign them.

This is a very intricate process that takes 4-6 hours to complete as every strand is individually aligned to permanently transform your coils. 

Post-Straightening Maintenance

After the straightening process is complete, You will receive a complimentary mini hair kit with specialized hair products that work best for your treatment.
